Taskmaster Greg Davies and his loyal little lickspittle Alex Horne return for another series of the BAFTA-winning Taskmaster. Up for grabs once more is the prize comics around the world are desperate to display on their mantelpiece: Greg's regal head sculpted in something that looks like gold and mounted on a plinth adorned with the legendary TM seal. Such is the pull of this prize that five more lambs have voluntarily signed up for an inevitable yet metaphorical slaughter at the hands of the tyrannical Taskmaster. They are: Alan Davies, Desiree Burch, Guz Khan, Morgana Robinson and Victoria Coren Mitchell. These brave souls must attempt numerous seemingly pointless tasks that will test their ingenuity, dexterity and calmness under extreme pressure. But, of course, these tasks are not pointless. As the five of them slather stuff on space hoppers, hurl household appliances and dig into doggybags, they are also attempting to persuade Greg to give them valuable points towards their ultimate goal of becoming the 12th Taskmaster Champion. Naturally, Greg is far too magnificent to administrate this contest himself, so he employs Alex Horne as both servant and secretary to do the spade work, which might involve appearing in promotional videos for office equipment or, simply, hiding cakes. Perks to this role include a special stopwatch, a special whistle and a special catchphrase: 'all the information's on the task' (still yet to take off in mainstream society). He has further special duties off screen, but that's between him and the Taskmaster.
